The dredge is easily transported and can work in areas inaccessible to traditional methods.  The pipeline and dewatering methods allow us to remove the sediment without draining the waterway or disturbing the existing landscape.

The Dredging Process

Muck Miners uses a hydraulic dredge to remove accumulated sediment with minimal disruption to the existing landscape. The sediment is transported through a pipeline to dewatering bags on the shore. The bags allow the water to escape while capturing the sediment. The water is returned to the pond and the sediment is dried.

Disposal

Once the sediment is dry enough, we remove the sediment from the dewatering bags. The sediment can be hauled away or kept on the property if possible.

Grading

All disturbed ground is restored to the original condition or better.  After drying, the sediment is great for grading and leveling.

Turf Restoration

The graded sediment is a good environment for growing turf.  The grounds will be seeded or sodded, depending on the project requirements.
